HERitage Female Classic Hockey Festival

OFFICIAL RELEASE: 2026 HERitage Special Events Lineup!

We are officially 15 days away from puck drop! The inaugural HERitage Female Classic is set to take over The Meadows and Downtown Community Arena from January 29th to February 1st, and we are ready to reveal that this weekend is about much more than just the score on the clock.

We have built a full "Festival of Female Hockey" experience. Alongside the tournament action, we are thrilled to announce a lineup of off-ice workshops, cultural experiences, and showcase events designed to connect and inspire our athletes.

Workshop Highlights (Limited Spaces!)

  • Cultural Connection: Slow down and connect with Traditional Beading sessions led by "Lil' Auntie."

  • Movement & Fun: Build coordination and confidence in our Positive Body Movement Through Dance class with artist Joshua Wolchansky.

  • Mental Edge: Learn to perform under pressure with MINDgames Mental Skills Training, led by Team Canada Gold Medalist Jane Lagacé.

Feature Events

  • Friday Night Downtown: Join us at the DCA for an exclusive Q&A with the MacEwan Griffins (Open to 40 athletes) followed by FREE admission for all tournament families to watch the Griffins battle the UBC Thunderbirds!

  • Female Hockey Day: On Saturday, we celebrate with Hockey Alberta featuring a showcase Skills Competition for U15 & U18 divisions.

  • MOJO Photo Booth: Stop by The Meadows on Friday (2:00 PM – 6:00 PM) to get your own free personalized tournament hockey card.
